MUSEUM OF SEX NAMES GENERAL CONTRACTOR
September 16, 2002, New York – The Museum of Sex, (www.museumofsex.com), has named Galvis Construction Co., (formerly Artek Design/Build) as general contractor for its location on Fifth Avenue, which will be complete in late September when the museum opens its inaugural exhibition, NYC Sex: How New York City Transformed Sex in America.
Founded in 2000 by Fernando Galvis, who has 12 years of experience in architecture, interior design and construction. Mr. Galvis begun by offering home improvement services in Staten Island, NY then expanded their work to include commercial real estate in Manhattan. Mr. Galvis has worked on a wide range of building types including retail establishments, corporate interiors, commercial real estate, schools and correctional facilities.

In 1998, Mr. Galvis was given a design award from the New York Society of American Registered Architects for his work on Bed Bath and Beyond flagship store.
Other current clients of Galvis Construction Co, include Safer America, Inc., The Gershwin Hotel, GGR Holdings Inc., and The Royal Partnership. Mr. Galvis is an Architect and licensed General Contractor, and a member associate of the American Institute of Architects A.I.A., National Trust for Historic Preservation, Colombian Society of Architects and National Wood Flooring Association.
